[ ছয় ] ফটোগ্রাফী আবিষ্কারের সময় থেকে শুরু করে এখন পর্যন্ত এই মাধ্যমটিতে ছবি পরিবেশন, উপস্থাপন নিদিষ্ট একটা গন্ডির মধ্যে সীমাবদ্ধ না থেকে এর ব্যাপ্তী সকল স্তরে ( শিল্প-সংস্কৃতি, বিজ্ঞান-প্রযুক্তি রাজনীতি-অর্থনীতি ) সঞ্চারিত হয়েছে— হচ্ছে । যেমনটা বর্তমান সময়ে ব্যবহার করা Virtual Reality (VR) journalism প্রযুক্তি একটা উদাহরণ হিসাবে উল্লেখ করা যেতে পারে । বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন গণমাধ্যম ইতিমধ্যেই এর ব্যবহার শুরু করেছে ।
‘ঢেউ’ এর এই প্রোট্রেট ছবিটি তোলার ক্ষেত্রে Slow shutter photography বা Long exposure photography technique ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে । আমি এই ছবিটি তোলার ক্ষেত্রে Motion Blur Movement Technique ব্যবহার করেছি । ক্যামেরার সাথে অতিরিক্ত equipments হিসাবে একটা Camera tripod stand এবং Torch light ব্যবহার করেছি, রাতের বেলা ছবিটি indoor তোলা হয়েছে ।
এই long exposure বা slow shutter পদ্ধতি ব্যবহার করে আপনি অনেক ধরনের ছবি তুলতে পারেন যেমন— Motion Blur, Camera Panning, Light Trails, Light Painting, Stat Trails বা Ghost Effect ইত্যাদি । DSLR বা Mobile ক্যামেরা যন্ত্র চালানোর সাধারন জ্ঞান ( বেসিক ফফোগ্রাফী ) জানা থাকলেই, এইসব ছবি খুব সহজে তোলা সম্ভব . . .
[ পাঁচ ] যে কোন কাজের ক্ষেত্রে সঠিক পরিকল্পনা থাকলে সেই কাজটি ভালো ভাবে, সহজ ভাবে সম্পন্ন করা সম্ভব । আমরা সবাই কম-বেশী এই সহজ সত্যটা জানি । ফটোসাংবাদিকতার ক্ষেত্রে এই সহজ সত্যটা জানা এবং তা পালন করা খুব জরুরি, বিশেষ করে যারা নতুন ফটোসাংবাদিক ( Visual Journalist ) হিসেবে বিভিন্ন সংবাদ মাধ্যমে কাজ করছেন ।
আ্যসাইনমেন্টে যাওয়ার আগে আপনি কি ধরনের কাজে যাচ্ছেন, সেই কাজ সম্পর্কে আপনার পরিষ্কার একটা ধারণা থাকার পাশাপাশি আপনার ক্যামেরা ব্যাগটি পুনরায় পরীক্ষা ( recheck ) করে নেওয়া উচিত । যেমন ক্যামেরা, CF or SD card, card reader, ক্যামেরা ব্যাটারি, লেন্স, ক্যামেরা ষ্ট্যান্ড ( ভিডিও করার ক্ষেত্রে ) ল্যাপটপ ( যদিও বর্তমানে ঘটনাস্খল থেকে ছবি, ভিডিও পাঠানোর জন্য মোবাইল প্রযুক্তি যথেষ্ট ) ফ্লাশ, ফ্লাশের ব্যাটারি, আপনার প্রেস আইডি, অর্থাৎ আপনার অফিসের পরিচয়পত্র । বিশেষ আ্যসাইনমেন্ট কাভারেজ করার ক্ষেত্রে কর্তৃপক্ষের ইস্যুকৃত অনুমতি পত্র ।
নিউজ কিংবা ফিচার আপনি যেই ছবি তুলতে যান না কেন—সময় এবং আপনার যাতায়াতের জন্য আপনি কোন ধরনের যান ব্যবহার করছেন, তা বিবেচনা করা খুব গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ! একটা কথা ফটোসাংবাদিকতায় প্রচলিত আছে, আপনি যদি সঠিক সময় ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছাতে পারেন, আপনার ৭৫% কাজ শেষ হয়ে গেল, বাকি সময়টা ছবি তোলা, সঠিক তথ্য সংগ্রহ এবং ছবি পাঠানো কাজটি করা । একজন অভিজ্ঞতা সম্পন্ন ফটোসাংবাদিক অতি সহজেই এই কাজটি করতে পারেন ।
বর্তমানে মোবাইল ফোন ছাড়া আমাদের যেমন এক মুহূর্ত চলে না, ঠিক ফটোসাংবাদিকদের ক্ষেত্রে ব্যাপারটি তাই, যেহেতু কারো কারো বিশেষ করে অন-লাইন নিউজ গুলোর জন্য ঘটনাস্খল থেকে ছবি পাঠাতে হয়, তাদের জন্য অবশ্যই মোবাইল ডাটার পরিমাণ, পাওয়ার ব্যাংক, চার্জার সঙ্গে থাকার পাশাপাশি ক্যামেরা থেকে ছবি, ভিডিও মোবাইলে স্থানান্তরের জন্য ডাটা ক্যাবল ( ওটিজি ক্যাবল ) বা Wi-Fi সম্বলিত প্রযুক্তির ক্যামেরা কিংবা কোন মোবাইল আ্যপ ( সফটওয়্যার ) থাকা জরুরি, যা দিয়ে অতি সহজেই আপনি আপনার ক্যামেরা থেকে মোবাইলে ছবি,ভিডিওটি স্থানান্তর করতে পারেন ।
যা পরবর্তীতে মোবাইলের ইন্টারনেট ডাটা ব্যবহার করে আপনার ছবি বা ভিডিওটি নিউজ ডেস্কে,পিকচার ডেস্কে পাঠাতে পারেন, পরবর্তী সম্পাদনা এবং প্রকাশনার জন্য । এই ক্ষেত্রে ফোনে বা ই-মেইল করে আপনার ডেস্ক-কে জানাতে হবে, এবং নিশ্চিত হতে হবে তারা আপনার ছবি, ভিডিও গুলো পেয়েছে কিনা ।
আজ এতোটুকু লিখে শেষ করতে চাই । একটা কথা প্রত্যেক ফটোসাংবাদিকদের আবার মনে করিয়ে দিতে চাই. বিশেষ করে যারা নতুন ফটোসাংবাদিক হিসাবে কাজ করছেন, Your advance planing is a key to makes more good pictures . . .
নোট: এ বছর জুলাইতে বন্যার পরিস্থিতির ছবি তুলতে পদ্মা নদী ও এর আশেপাশের এলাকায় পরিদর্শন করেছিলাম। ছবিটি তুলেছেন প্রথম আলোর সাংবাদিক ইকবাল রতন ভাই ।
সমকালীন সময়ে সংবাদ মাধ্যমে ( ছাপা হওয়া ছবি ) যে ছবি পাঠ করা যায় না, সেই ছবির পাঠক গ্রহনযোগ্যতা নিয়ে প্রশ্ন করার অবকাশ থাকে। সংবাদের স্বার্থে জোর করে ছাপা হওয়া ছবিটির কোন অর্থবহতা থাকে না । সময়ের প্রযোজনে ভিজুয়াল তথ্যের পাঠ অতন্ত জরুরী বলে মনে হয় ।
বর্তমান সময়ে আমাদের দেশের ফটোসাংবাদিকদের বিশেষ করে, যারা তরুণ ফটোসাংবাদিক হিসাবে কাজ করছেন, তাদের কারো কারো কাজ আমার কাছে বেশ উঁচু মানের বলে মনে হয়। আমি তাদের কাজের মধ্য ভিজুয়াল তথ্যের পাশাপাশি ছবির মধ্য এক ধরণের শৈল্পিক প্রকাশ দেখতে পাই—যা ক্লিশে ছবিকে অতিক্রম করে যায়।কখনো কখনো নিবিষ্ট সত্যেকে পড়তে শিখায় ।
সংবাদ মাধ্যমে ছাপা হওয়া ছবিটির গ্রহনযোগ্যতা, অর্থবহতা এবং পাঠক প্রিয়তা পায়।একজন সার্থক ফটোসাংবাদিক হিসাবে নিজের কাজটি সকলের কাছে গ্রহণযোগ্য হয় ।আজকাল তরুণ এই ফটোসাংবাদিকদের কাজ, জাতীয় এবং আন্তর্জাতিক ভাবে স্বীকৃত, যা ফটোসাংবাদিকতার পেশাকে অনুরত করে।
সেদিন গিয়েছিলাম বুড়ীগঙ্গা নদীর পাড়ে গরুর হাটের ছবি তুলতে; আমার সঙ্গী হয়েছিল—ছোট মেঘ । বাপ-বেটা মিলে পোস্তগোলা এলাকায় বিকেলের রোদে নদীর পাড় দিয়ে বেশ হেঁটে বেড়ালাম— দেখা হলো গরুর হাট; ছবি তোলা হলো । সামনেই কোরবানীর ঈদ; ট্রলারে করে দেশের বিভিন্ন অঞ্চল থেকে বুড়ীগঙ্গা নদী হয়ে কোরানির গরু ঢাকায় আসছে। এ ঘাটেও কিছু কিছু গরু নামানো হচ্ছে । একজন গরুর ব্যাপারীকে জিজ্ঞেস করলাম, আপনারা কোন এলাকা থেকে গরু নিয়ে এসেছেন, সে জানালো ফরিদপুর থেকে ।
বর্ষার পানিতে বুড়ীগঙ্গা নদীর অন্যরকম সৌন্দর্য আমার চোখ এড়ালো না ! নদীর পাড়টিতে ছোট ছোট ঢেউ আছড়ে পড়ছে; সূর্যের আলোতে সেসব ঢেউ গুলো অদ্ভুত সুন্দর লাগছিল ! আমি চিন্তা করলাম— এখানে খুব সুন্দর সিলুয়েট ( Silhouette ) ছবি হয় । আসলে সিলুয়েট ফটোগ্রাফী করতে যা যা দরকার তার সব এলিমেন্ট গুলো এখানে খুঁজে পেলাম । আমি সিদ্ধান্ত নিলাম এখন কিছু সিলুয়েট ছবি তুলবো ।
সিলুয়েট ছবি তোলার ক্ষেত্রে যে বিষয়টি খেয়াল রাখতে হবে তা হলো — আপনি যে বিষয়বস্তু বা যার ছবি তুলছেন আলোর উৎসটি তার পিছনে থাকতে হবে । ব্যাকগ্রাউন্ডের আলো এবং স্পেসকে প্রাধান্য দিয়ে ছবি তুলতে হবে; ফোরগ্রাউন্ডকে না । ফ্রেমিংটা এমন ভাবে করতে হবে; যাতে আপনার বিষয়বস্তুটির শুধু ‘কালো একটা আউটলাইন’ তৈরি হয় । সহজ করে বললে— সাধারন নিয়মে আমরা ছবি তুললে ক্যামেরার পিছনে আমাদের আলোর উৎসটি থাকে আর সিলুয়েট ছবি ক্ষেত্রে আলোর উৎসটি হবে বিষয়বস্তুর পিছনে । আউটডোর সিলুয়েট ছবি তোলার জন্য ফাঁকা জায়গা, আকাশ, নদী, সমুদ্রের তীর উপযুক্ত । আর একটা কথা low angle of view হলে ভালো হয় ।
সিলুয়েট ছবির অর্থবহতা নিয়ে যদি বলতে হয় তাহলে আমি বললো— এই ধরণের ছবি গুলো আমাদের মূল গল্পটা পরিষ্কার করে না কিন্তু দর্শক বা পাঠককে এক ধরণের কল্পনার জগতে ভাসিয়ে নিয়ে যায় . . .
ফটোগ্রাফী বিষয়ক বোঝাপড়া’তে আমি ( রিয়ালিষ্টিক ) বাস্তব দৃশ্যাবলী এবং ( অ্যাবস্ট্রাক্ট ) বিমূর্ত ফর্ম নিয়ে আলোচনা করেছিলাম, যেখানে আপনি আপনার ছবিতে নান্দনিকতার দিকটা কি করে তুলে ধরবেন । আজ Angle of View নিয়ে খুব ছোট করে বলবো । ফটোগ্রাফী যেহেতু একটা কারিগরি মাধ্যম তাই এর ( ক্যামেরা ) ব্যবহারিক দিকটা জানা জরুরী ।
আমরা নতুনরা ছবি তোলার ক্ষেত্রে বেশীর ভাগ সময় একই Angle of View থেকে ছবি তুলি, যার কারণে আমাদের তোলা ছবিটি একটা সাধারন মানের ছবি হয়ে যায়। আমি বলছি না যে, সাধারন Angle of View থেকে ছবি তুলতে তা খারাপ হয় । যারা ছবি সিলেকশনের দায়িত্বে থাকেন ( ফটো-এডিটর, বিচারক ) তারা কিন্তু তাদের অভিজ্ঞতার আলোকে খুব সহজেই বুঝতে পারেন, আপনার তোলা ছবিটির মানদন্ড কোন পর্যায়ের ।
একটু চিন্তা করে ফ্রেমিং করলেই কিন্তু ছবিটির Angle of View ভিন্ন করা সম্ভব । যদিও ছবি তুলতে তুলতে একটা সময় এই পরিবর্তনটা একজন ফটোগ্রাফারের নিজ থেকেই হয়ে যায় । কিন্তু আমাদের যদি বিষয়টি সম্পর্কে আগেই জানা থাকে তাহলে শুরু থেকেই আপনার তোলা ছবি প্রসংশিত হতে থাকবে ।
এবার সহজ মন্ত্রটা জানা যাক—অর্থাৎ আপনার তোলা ছবিটির Angle of View হতে হবে Unique Angle of View বা —দেখার স্বতন্ত্র কোণ । সহজ ভাবে আমি যেটা বুঝি গতানুগতিকা থেকে বের হয়ে বেশীর ভাগ মানুষের পছন্দের একটা ছবি তোলা। যে মানুষটা আপনার ছবিটি দেখছেন তার যেন মনের ভিতরে একটা অনুভুতি তৈরি হয় । কাজটি কিন্তু একেবারে সহজ নয় . . .

Wedding photography is the Photography of activities relating to weddings. It encompasses photographs as well as coverage of the wedding and reception. It is a major branch of commercial photography supporting many specialists. Like the technology of photography itself, the practice of wedding photography has evolved and grown since the invention of the photographic art form in 1826 by Joseph Nicephore Niepce.
Due to the nature of the bulky equipment and lighting issues, wedding photography was largely a studio practice for most of the late 19th century. Over time, technology improved, but many couples still might only pose for a single wedding portrait. Wedding albums started becoming more commonplace towards the 1880s, and the photographer would sometimes include the wedding party in the photographs. Often the wedding gifts would be laid out and recorded in the photographs as well.
At the beginning of the 20th century, color photography became available, but was still unreliable and expensive, so most wedding photography was still practiced in black and white.
Initially, professional studio photographers might bring a lot of bulky equipment, thus limiting their ability to record the entire event. Even “candid” photos were more often staged after the ceremony. In the 1970s, the more modern approach to recording the entire wedding event started evolving into the practice, as we know it today, including a more Documentary Photography style of photography.

Press photography requires a combination of intuition, creativity and technical skills. I think is important to know the responsibilities about press photography. Here I am having share some point of with you . . .
1.Work closely with other people concerned with the story, such as journalists and picture editors, and agree the photographic requirements for a story.
2.Handle admin arrangements such as timing, press cards, transport and access to restricted areas, venues and events.
3.Photograph events or personalities, and note details for photographic captions.
4.Add relevant keywords to image files for picture libraries so the images can be recognised in search engines.
5.Ensure all pictures are appropriate, processed, catalogued and ready in time to meet deadlines.
6.Prepare and send digital photographs for newspaper publication to deadline.
7.Maintain up-to-date knowledge about current news stories and any specialist areas.
8.Source freelance photographers for a job or existing photographs if pushed to meet a deadline.
9.Arrange lighting and other requirements for magazine studio shoots.
10.Check the weather forecast and light values of places beforehand.
11.Maintain photographic and electronic communications equipment.

Inspiration ! You feel something, to do creative something,Yes, it is important word in my life, I remember it in my own creative vision. I started my photographic journey in 1994 from BPS, Bangladesh Photographic Society with my small camera Pentex ME Super, a short basic photography course afterwords completed my three years Graduation from Pathshala, South Asian Media Institute, my professional drives with Prothom Alo Newspaper as a deputy chief photojournalist.
I always learn in my time, I learn from my mistake, I learn from other works. I think it is a big influence to me for betterment of my own work. I sharing my photography thought with you, it may help yourself towards in your own photographic drives, remember the word ‘Inspiration’ You feel something, to do creative something.
Whenever I go, I always carry on my camera, let you know nowadays every one use smart phone camera with great MP image anyway, it’s my tool to capturing the images, I see in my life that around me and I captured it, I feel from my heart.
A few years ago during my photographic shoot in Old Dhaka on the subject old building wall with beautiful green plant and fallen beautiful light ray, I took it afterwards my friends said, you really mad guy’s, yes I am still mad guy’s about my photography passion and my photographic profession.
I would like one think, I share my photographic experience with you, so that I writing down it and share with you. Here, I am discuss about the Landscape Photography from my practical experience. I think it’s may help you during your photo shoot.
As a professional photographer point of view to takes a better landscape photography, you can only shoot two times. In order to get a good landscape, you shoot early in the morning and evening, so keep in your mind to get planing in your traveling,anyway. The other time is as well as good for documentation or photo-journalistic purpose, but to get ‘Dreamlike Landscape Images’ using those magic times to get an amazing result. Keep in your eye to draw by lines, angles, textures, contrast and light with the right compositions and aesthetics that is very important to takes Dreamlike Landscape Images.
MORNING TIME: About 15 minuets before sunrise and than form 30 minuets afterward.
EVENING TIME: About 30 minuets before sunset and than form 15 minuets afterward.
WHY: Because it’s the only time you get the soft, warm light and shadows, that’s given you professional quality lighting for landscape photography. Professional Landscape Photographers shoot at those two time of day. It’s a golden rule of landscape photography.
CAMERA SETTING & OTHER THINGS: Aperture Priority (AV), Manual (M), Program (P) and Landscape mode is better for shooting time. Must shoot in RAW mode for viewing purpose to shoot in JPG mode. ISO setting is to set up 100 up to 800 it’s depend on level of light. Set up your camera into Auto White Balance for avoiding other compilation. Lenses are use Normal, Standard Zoom, Telephoto and Wide-angle lenses, it’s depend on your lenses accessibility, try to get maximum f-stop (Depth-Of-Field, DOF) keep in your Flash to use it if necessary for fill-light and must use in your Tripod.
