 Jan. 18, 2012 – Dhaka, Bangladesh – A security guard sprays a protestor with a fire extinguisher, as angry investors put barricades on the road in front of the Dhaka Stock Exchange. Bangladesh’s stock exchange operator suspended trading yesterday after reports said the government would enforce a ban on civil servants and the armed forces from investing in shares. The cabinet of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had announced the move to crack down on civil servants and soldiers owning local stocks, upholding a long-standing rule. © Monirul Alam http://monirul.photoshelter.com/
