May 16, 2013 – Chittagong, Bangladesh – Bangladeshi police urge people to move to safer areas ahead of the arrival of tropical cyclone Mahasen in Chittagong, Bangladesh. People living in coastal areas in Bangladesh and Myanmar are being evacuated as cyclone Mahasen is expected to make landfall late Thursday or early Friday, according to news reports. July 2012 Dhaka. Bangladesh- Hill people on Friday 20 July 2012 burnt the  effigy of Chittagong Hill Tracts Land Dispute Resolution Commission chairman Khademul Islam, who served out his tenure of office on Thursday, in protest against moves to retain him in the same position. The Democratic Youth Forum, backed by United People’s Democratic Front, organized a rally in front of the National Press Club where several  students and young people joined.© Monirul Alam
