EMK center in collaboration with Public Affairs Section of the Embassy of the United State. This training session was held at Edward M Kennedy Center ( EMK ) at Dhanmondi, Bangladesh.

১. সকাল বেলা ঘুম থেকে উঠে নাস্তা শেষ করে চা এবং পত্রিকা নিয়ে বসেছি—আজ শুক্রবার আমাদের পারিবারিক একটি দাওয়াত আছে— সন্ধ্যায় । আমরা যাবো সেখানে—‘মা’ যাবেন না শারীরিক ভাবে ‘মা’ খানিকটা অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়েছেন ।
চা খেতে খেতে খোঁজ খবর করছিলাম ডেইলি নিউজ ইভেন্টে আজ উল্লেখযোগ্য কি কি আছে ? জানা গেল ‘হ্যাসট্যাগ মি টু’ নিয়ে বাংলাদেশের নারী সাংবাদিকদের একটা মানববন্ধন আছে—জাতীয় প্রেস ক্লাবের সামনে, বেলা আড়াইটায় । পশ্চিমা বিশ্ব থেকে শুরু হওয়া এই ‘হ্যাসট্যাগ মি টু’ আন্দোলন এখন বাংলাদেশে । নারী এবং শিশুদের উপর যৌন নিপিড়নকারীর মুখোশ খুলে দেওয়ার জন্য মূলত এই আন্দোলন ।বাংলাদেশে এটাই হচ্ছে প্রথম ‘হ্যাসট্যাগ মি টু’ সংহতি মানববন্ধন ।
২. শুভ জন্মদিন ছোট দুই মানুষ—অর্ণব এবং আদ্রিতা ! ওরা আমার কাজিন / cousin ( সুমন ) সুমন-শিমুর জমজ দুটি ছেলে-মেয়ে, থাকে ঢাকার রায়ের বাগে । আমরা ওদের জন্মদিনের অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত হলাম । মেঘ, ঢেউ, নীল, অর্ণব, আদ্রিতা এরা হলো আমাদের পরিবারের ছোট গ্যাং । ওরা সবাই এক সঙ্গে হয়ে সেকি আনন্দ ! অনেক মজা হলো—অনেক দিনপর পারিবারিক আড্ডা হলো ! আমার কাজিনদের তিন ভাই-বোনের মধ্যে সুমি এখন বাংলাদেশে নেই, পরিবার নিয়ে সে এখন মধ্যপ্র্যাচে থাকে, সুমন এবং শুভ দেশে আছে দুজনেই বেসরকারি প্রতিষ্ঠানে জব করছে, বিয়ে করে সংসারি হয়েছে— ওরা । আমাদের এই আড্ডায় সুমিকে মিস করলাম !
২১শ শতাব্দীর এই পৃথিবীতে মানুষের বসবাস এবং জীবনধারণের চিত্র অনেকটাই পাল্টে গেছে— আজ ! সময়ের বিবর্তনে একান্নবর্তী পরিবার গুলো ভেঙ্গে তৈরি হয়েছে, একক পরিবার— কনসেপ্ট ! আমরা ছুটছি; প্রতিদিন—প্রতিনিয়ত ! আজ অনিবার্য হয়ে পড়ছে আমাদের এই ছুটে চলা । হয়তোবা পরিবারের সবাইকে আর একসঙ্গে পাওয়া সম্ভব নয় তবু প্রত্যাশা থাকে আমরা হয়তো কোন একদিন মিলিত হবে সেই সব ছোট ছোট ভালোবাসা নিয়ে . . .
I thinks it’s a —Light Pray Worship events ! The environment gradually turn from darkness to light. As an eyewitness I delighted to observed it, last week I was their and to do coverage a beautiful events. It’s Hindu religious worship.They called“Rakher Upobash” or “Kartik Brati”.
I takes on my position and than closely observe the events. The ritual begins after a day long fast to all devotees has been going to their temple for join worship during the worship they carries with earth made oil lamps, banana leaves, various fruits, holy book with all religious manners; they sits on the temple ground and than praying with sacred songs and music; they pray for their love ones, the environment creates with smoke and spiritual sprit, after their prayers then they brake fast.
Lokenath Brahmachari who is called Baba Lokenath was an 18th century Hindu saint and philosopher in Bengal. Sometimes he is even considered to be a living god. Hindu devotees fast and pray in earnest to the gods for their favors during the ritual traditionally. #Dhaka #Bangladesh

মেঘের স্কুলে পুজার ছুটি এখনো চলছে, আগামী রবিবার তার স্কুল খুলবে । মেঘ’কে বললাম চল—ফানুস উড়ানো দেখে আসি, আজ প্রবারণা পূর্ণিমা বৌদ্ধ সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য বিশেষ একটা দিন । মেঘ আমাকে বলল—ফানুস কি ? আমি তাকে বললাম—চল গেলেই দেখতে পাবি ! বিকেলের দিকে বাপ-বেটা মিলে মটর সাইকেলে করে ফানুস উত্তোলন উৎসব দেখতে চললাম—ধর্মরাজিক বৌদ্ধ মহাবিহারে ।
বৌদ্ধ মন্দিরে প্রবেশ করে মেঘ’কে ঘুরে ঘুরে দেখালাম, সে বলে— সে এখানে আগে কোনদিন আসে নাই । আমি তাকে বললাম, অপেক্ষা কর সন্ধ্যার দিকে ওরা ফানুস উড়াবে—আকাশে । বাপ-বেটা মিলে মন্দিরের সবচেয়ে বড় উঁচু বৌদ্ধ মূর্তিটির সামনে অপেক্ষা করতে লাগলাম ।
প্রবারণা পূর্ণিমার উল্লেখ যোগ্য দিক হলো পূজা-অর্চনা শেষে—আকাশে ফানুস ওড়ানো । বৌদ্ধশাস্ত্র মতে— বুদ্ধদেব আধ্যাত্মিক শক্তিবলে দেবলোকে পৌছে মাকে ধর্মদেশনা করে এদিন স্বর্গ থেকে মর্ত্যে ফিরে আসেন । এ কারণে বৌদ্ধরা প্রবারণা পূর্ণিমায় আকাশে প্রদীপ প্রজ্বলনের প্রতীকরুপ ফানুস উত্তোলন করে ।
আমরা দেখলাম ততোক্ষণে বৌদ্ধভিক্ষুরা প্রাঙ্গটিতে ফানুস এনে জড়ো করতে শুরু করেছে । বৌদ্ধধর্মাবলম্বীদের কেউ কেউ বৌদ্ধমূতিটির সামনে বসে প্রার্থনা করছেন, প্রদীপ প্রজ্জ্বলন করছেন ।
সন্ধ্যা নামার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে মাইকে ঘোষণা এলো—এখনই শুরু হবে ফানুস উত্তোলন উৎসব ! আমরা বাপ-বেটা প্রস্তুত তা দেখার জন্য; সাথে আমাদের আর এক সঙ্গী ক্যামেরা . . .

সবুজবাগ, ঢাকা । ধর্মরাজিক বৌদ্ধ মহাবিহার । অক্টোবর ২০১৮ ।
এবার দেবী দুর্গার আগমন ঘটেছিল—ঘোড়ায় চড়ে আর ফিরে গেলেন—দোলায় চড়ে । প্রতিবার দুর্গোৎসবে আমার খুব জানতে ইচ্ছা করে দুর্গা আসা-যাওয়ার বাহনটি সম্পর্কে। তার এই ধরাতলে গমনাগমনের বার্তাটা কি ? মূলত প্রতি বছর গজ, ঘোটক, নৌকা, দোলা এইসব বাহনে করে তার মর্ত্যে গমনাগমন ঘটে । তার এই আসা ও যাওয়ার সময় শুভ, অশুভ, ক্ষয়ক্ষতি একটা বার্তা বহন করে । আর এটা পুরাকালের মুনি, ঋষি ও পণ্ডিতরা গবেষনা করে এই বাহনে গমনাগমনের বার্তাটি অনুধাবন করেছিলেন ।
শাখারী বাজার, পাটুয়াটুলি হয়ে হাঁটতে হাঁটতে চলে এলাম সদরঘাট—বুড়ীগঙ্গা নদীর তীরে । বিনা স্মৃতি ঘাটে প্রবেশ করতেই মনটা এক অদ্ভুত ভালো লাগায় পেয়ে বসলো ! নদীটির পশ্চিম আকাশে তাকাতেই দেখলাম সূর্যটি ততোক্ষণে লালা রং ধারণ করেছে—আজকের মতো সে বিদায় নিচ্ছে এই ধরাতল থেকে আর তার এই বিদায়ের সঙ্গী হয়েছেন—দূর্গা দেবী !

As my early photojournalism carrier in daily newspaper several time I meet him during my photographic assignment. Since that time ( 2005-2016 ) I works with Prothom Alo is that, our editor Matiur Rahman invited him to the Prothom Alo newspaper office to discuss about his photojournalism experience sharing with us such time our photojournalist to learn and listen more about in early Bangladesh photojournalism chapter, he share his experience as a newspaper photojournalist. As my study about in photojournalism that time Rashid bhai as a brilliant and dedicated photojournalist in his professional life, his photography archives as well as good although through his images we know about our importance historical visual.
Rashid Talukder was a Bangladeshi photojournalist for The Daily Ittefaq, most known for capturing some of the defining images of the atrocities during the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971. Talukder was a founder of the Bangladesh Photo Journalists Association.
He stepped into mainstream photography towards the end of the 1950s, and by 1959 he joined the Press Information Department. After two years of service he began to work as a photojournalist in Daily Sangbad. It was in 1961, that he was given his first assignment. Talukdar worked uninterruptedly for a period of 13 years in The Daily Sangbad. For the next 32 years of his life he was engaged as a photojournalist in Daily Ittefaq. As a photographer with a knack for turning up at the right time in the right places, Talukder was a witness to the history of three successive epochs. [ Source SHAKHAWAT TIPU / departmag ]
He was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award the Chobi Mela, an International Photography Festival in Dhaka, in 2006, and the 2010 the ‘Pioneer Photographer Award’ given by National Geographic Society. Talukder born in October 24, 1939 and Died October 25, 2011 in Dhaka. He work with The Daily Ittefaq.
