Footsteps & Moist Soil . . .

A few years ago. I went their, the place name is Trimomone south part of Dhaka beside Buriganga river with my other fellow photographers  to takes some environmental picture which we use our environmental reporting , anyway we started our journey with engine-boat within half an our we find that beautiful place.

At these time the  light is very favor to us, we stop our boat and than take  photos suddenly, I found a number of foot steps on  moist soil and the area is quite silent. Some time i saw a few ferryboats cross the narrow river canal. We all really enjoy that moment and took pictures too.That day  I use my Nikon D 70 dslr camera with short Zoom lens.  I am quite happy to see the result and share with you.

Fire Drill Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Dhaka (news)

09 May 2012. Dhaka, Bangladesh- The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh on Wednesday organized a fire drill at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on extinguishing fire in aircraft. Several units of the fire service, Civil Aviation Authority, army, air force and a number of hospitals took part in the mock exercise. A bamboo-made replicated aircraft was set on fire for the drill, and eight fire service units, some 15 ambulances and a helicopter took part in the exercise. © Monirul Alam

08 May 2012. Dhaka, Bangladesh- A Bangladeshi rickshaw driver takes a break during a hot summer afternoon in Dhaka. Fresh water, sugar cane and watermelon juices are all on sale at roadside fruit stands amid rising day temperature. Temperatures raised above 31 degrees Celsius while city dwellers suffered frequent power cuts. © Monirul Alam

Buddha Purnima in Bangladesh (news)

06 May 2012. Dhaka, Bangladesh- The Buddhist community celebrates Buddha Purnima by performing special worship & prepare light candle at the Old part of Dhaka Bashabo Buddhist Temple. The day marks Gautam Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and death. It falls on the day of the full moon in May. The Buddha — Siddhartha Gautam — was born in the Shakya royal family in Lumbini in south Nepal. Using historical records referring to Alexander, the Great and Emperor Ashoka, the Buddha’s birth date is usually given as May 563 BC. © Monirul Alam

BNP Protest Rally in Dhaka (news)

02 May 2012 Dhaka, Bangladesh- Bangladeshi Police watch during the BNP protest at Nayapalton  Dhaka. The main opposition party BNP hold a protest rally at Nayapaltan in the capital on Wednesday. BNP standing committee member Moudud Ahmed made the announcement his party will stage countrywide demonstrations on Sunday to mount pressure on the government to trace its missing leader M Ilias Ali. He also demands immediate withdrawal of the cases. The filing cases are not going to weaken BNP s protest. The government will fall down through the movement according to the local media report. © Monirul Alam

01 May 2012 Dhaka, Bangladesh- A Bangladeshi worker at work in lathe workshop without any eye protection at Old part of Dhaka. The Historic May Day observed today in Bangladesh and elsewhere in the world with a renewed pledge to protect the right of workers. The day is observed every year since 1886 commemorating the launch of a massive movement of works at the Haymarket in Chicago of the United State to establish the rights of eight-hour working day. In the next few days of agitation, several workers were killed. © Monirul Alam

30 April 2012 Dhaka, Bangladesh- Bangladeshi  police and rapid action battalion RAB jointly arrest unidentified  suspect person at Mogbazar area during a nationwide general strike in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Schools and businesses have remained closed in the Bangladesh’s capital as an 18-party opposition alliance has enforced a daylong nationwide general strike to demand the government find an opposition leader who went missing nearly two weeks ago. © Monirul Alam
