তার নাম দিলাম ‘ঢেউ’ ! মেঘের বোন—ঢেউ । নবজাতক পেটে থাকতেই, আমরা তার নাম কি রাখা হবে সেটা ভাবছিলাম, হঠাৎ করেই এই নামটা মাথায় আসলো । ছেলে হোক বা মেয়ে তার নাম রাখা হবে —ঢেউ । মেঘের সাথে মিলিয়ে কইন্যার নাম রাখা হলো—ঢেউ । মেঘের মা অবশ্য খাতা-কলমের জন্য একটা নাম ভেবে রেখেছে ! আল্লাহর রহমতে তার আকিকাটা দিয়ে নামের কাজটি সম্পন্ন করতে চাই ।
সবাই আমাদের কইন্যা ‘ঢেউ’ এর জন্য দোয়া করবেন . . .

Mourners, including politicians and foreign diplomats, have gathered at the scene of the Holey Artisan massacre to pay their respects to the 22 victims of the country’s worst terrorist attack on its first anniversary on 01 July, 2017, Dhaka, Bangladesh A terrorist attack by members of local militant group Jamautul Mujahedin at a popular restaurant in Dhaka on 01 July 2016, left 20 hostages dead and several injured. Military commandos killed six gunmen and rescued 13 hostages during the attack. Dhaka Holey restaurant was relocated and the old location was rebuilt as a residence.

June 25, 2017- Dhaka, Bangladesh – Bangladeshi Hindu devotees attend in the annual festival of Rath Yatra, or chariot procession, in Dhaka, Bangladesh on June 25, 2017. The Ratha Yatra involves a public procession with a chariot with deities Jagannath (Vishnu avatar), Balabhadra (his brother), Subhadra (his sister) and Sudarshana Chakra (his weapon) on a ratha, a wooden deula-shaped chariot. It attracts over a million Hindu pilgrims who join the procession each year.

আজ রাতে—সেহেরি না খেয়েই রোজা রাখতে হয়েছে ! আমাদের পরিবারের কেউ, সেহেরির রাতে ঘুম থেকে উঠতে পারেনি । যদিও আমার ঘুমাতে ঘুমাতে বেশ রাত হয়েছিল । তবুও সেহেরির সময়— আমার ঘুম ভাঙ্গেনি । লালকুঠিতে আমাদের কাউন্সিলরের কার্যালয়ে, জাতীয় পরিচয়পত্র সংগ্রহ করার সময় কথা হচ্ছিল এলাকার—সানি চাচার সাথে । সেও গত রাতের সেহেরিতে ঘুম থেকে উঠতে পারেনি । তার শারীরিক অবস্থার খোঁজ-খবর করছিলাম । এখন সে একা বেলেন্স করে চলতে পারেন না কষ্ট হয়— আরেক জনের সাহায্য নিতে হয় । মসজিদে যাওয়া হয়ে উঠে কম । বাড়ীতেই নামায আদায় করেন । স্মার্ট কার্ডটি আনতে গিয়ে দেখা হলো এলাকার আরো অনেক মুরুব্বীর সাথে কথা হলো—তরুণ প্রজন্মের সাথে ।
আমাদের এলাকা ঢাকা দক্ষিণ সিটি করপোরেশন ৪৩ নম্বর ওয়ার্ডের স্মার্ট জাতীয় পরিচয়পত্র বিতরণ কার্যক্রম এ সপ্তাহে শুরু হয়েছে— চলবে ১৭ জুন ২০১৭ পর্যন্ত । কেউ যদি নিদিষ্ট সময়ের মধ্যে স্মার্ট কার্ডটি সংগ্রহ করতে না পারেন, তাহলে বাড়তি একটা দিন রাখা হয়েছে কার্ডটি সংগ্রহের জন্য—সেটা ১৮ জুন, ২০১৭ ।
আজ আমার ‘স্মার্ট জাতীয় পরিচয়পত্র’ অর্থাৎ—স্মার্ট কার্ডটি হাতে পেলাম । এখন থেকে আমি দেশের একজন—স্মার্ট নাগরিক ! যদিও অনেক আগে থেকেই আমি যোগাযোগের অন্যতম মাধ্যম স্মার্ট ফোন ব্যবহার করে, স্মার্ট নাগরিক হওয়ার চেষ্টা করছিলাম ! এখন কিন্তু পুরোপুরি—স্মার্ট নাগরিক হয়ে গেলাম ! এই কার্ড সম্পর্কে যতটুকু জেনেছি—এই কার্ড ব্যবহার করে, ২২টি সেবা পাওয়া যাবে—যদিও এই কার্ডটির চিপ বা তথ্য ভান্ডারে আমার ৩২টি তথ্য সংগ্রহে থাকছে—যা মেশিন রিডেবল ! তারপরও—আমি এখন দেশের একজন স্মার্ট নাগরিক . . .

আল্লাহর রহমতে আজ মেঘের— মুসলমানি করানো হলো । ধানমন্ডির সেন্ট্রাল হাসপাতালে সকাল ১২ টার সময় অপারেশনটি সফল ভাবে করেন, অধ্যাপক ডা: সজল মজুমদার ( বিশেষজ্ঞ শিশু সার্জন ) শহীদ সোহরাওয়ার্দী মেডিকেল কলেজ ।
রমজান মাস এবং ঈদ উপলক্ষে—মেঘের স্কুল এ সপ্তাহে থেকে বন্ধ শুরু হয়েছে । আর এই বন্ধকে সামনে রেখেই মেঘের মুসলমানি / সুন্নতে খাতনা করিয়ে ফেললাম ।
এনেসথেসিয়া—দিয়ে ঘুমিয়ে যাওয়ার পর অপারেশন শুরু হয় । প্রায় আধা ঘন্টা সময় লাগে অপারেশন করতে, জ্ঞান ফিরে আসতে— আরো দেড় ঘন্টা সময় লাগে । জ্ঞান ফিরে আসার পর পর মেঘ বলছে, বাবা একটা মাস্ক আমার মুখের সামনে ধরার পর; আমি রোবটের মতো কাঁপতে কাঁপতে ঘুমিয়ে পড়লাম ! চোখ খুলেই রাখতে পারলাম না—আমার অনেক কষ্ট লেগেছে !
মেঘ’কে বাসায় নিয়ে এসেছি । সিএনজি দিয়ে বাসায় আসতে আসতে বার কয়েক ঝাকিতে—সে বেশ কষ্ট পেয়েছে ! ডাক্তার বলে দিয়েছে, সাত দিন তাকে সাবধানে থাকতে হবে, কোন রকম ইনফেকশন হতে দেওয়া যাবে না । নিয়মিত ওষুধ গুলো খেতে হবে ।
সবাই মেঘের জন্য দোয়া করবেন . . .

10 April, 2017 Dhaka, Bangladesh – Bangladeshi students of the Institute of Fine Arts in Dhaka University busy to making the colorful masks and pottery for the preparation of Bengali New Year Celebration in Bangladesh. Pahela Baishakh Bengali New Year also called Pohela Boishakh, is the traditional new year day of the Bebgali people . It is celebrated on 14 April as a national holiday in Bangladesh, and on 14 or 15 April in the India states of West Bengal, Tripura and elsewhere by people of Bengali heritage, irrespective of their religious faith. The festival date is set according to the lunisolar Bengali calendar as the first day of its first month Baishakh. In Bangladesh The UNESCO added the Mangal Shobhajatra festival on Pahela Baishakh among other new items to the safeguarding intangible cultural heritage list during their 11th session in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, that runs from 28 November to 02 December.

Drik and Pathshala formed a human chain and to protest against killed and to demands justice for Irfan during the first death anniversary of Irfanul Islam at Shahbagh in the capital Old Dhaka, on 02 April 2017. Irfan was found dead in the bushes beside the Dhaka-Narayanganj Link Road in Jalkuri area of Narayanganj on the evening of April 2 last year.
