415 turtles Seized at Shahjalal Airport in Bangladesh (news)

17 April 2012 Dhaka  Bangladesh-  Customs officials seized 415 turtles from Shahjalal International Airport in the capital early Tuesday in Bangladesh and arrested two Indian nationals in this connection. Tapan Kumar Dey, forest conservator (wildlife section), said the department received information that huge turtles may be smuggled out of the country early Tuesday. Of the turtles, 300 are rare starred tortoises, 90 are three-keeled and 25 are Indian roofed turtles, he added. © Monirul Alam

World Largest Motif ( Alpana ) in Bangladesh | Bangla New Year 1419

14 April 2012 Dhaka, Bangladesh- People of all walks of life late into the night watch university students paint the largest motif ( alpana)  in the world on both sides of the Manik Mia Avenue in the capital.
