Students Protest Turn Violence in Bangladesh

Police have charged with batons and arrested to disperse hundreds of students of Jagannath University blocking streets near the Topkhan road on September 25, 2011. Hundreds of university students staged a demonstration on Sunday demanding the scrapping of a clause in the Jagannath University Act, 2005, which deems the institution ineligible of receiving government funding,  media reported. Islamic party clash turn violent in Bangladesh

Dhanka April 2011. During the clash a group of Jamaat-e-Islami activists through brickbats from the Baitul Mukarram mosque to the police and police through water cannon.   Activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami locked into a clash with police Tuesday afternoon in the city’s Paltan area after they were barred from holding a rally at Muktangon. Around 1,000 of activists Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir clashed with police. At least 25 people, including 10 police, were injured in the half-an-hour clash witness said.

Dhaka, Bangladesh january 2011- Long hour clash between police and villagers protesting the proposed Bangabandhu International Airport in Munshiganj Arial Beel has left a policeman killed and more 100 people and journalist injured.
