Celebrating 2025 World Photography Day . . .

I picked up a camera in the late 90s and have been working as a visual journalist ever since, covering news, documentaries, and human-interest stories across the country for National and International news media’s. Presently work with european pressphoto agency / epa based in Bangladesh.

Grateful to have turned my childhood passion into a lifelong journey—over 25 years of photography, making a living, and supporting my family.

Wherever I go, I seek the life unfolding around me. My camera is always with me—through its lens I feel, I listen, I breathe. I seek stories in moments, in pictures, and in the quiet poetry of words . . .

📷 Many thanks to my beloved son MEGH 💕 took this beautiful portrait.

Strike on Dhaka to protest the gas tariff

Police use a water canon on protestors during a half-day long strike against the gas price increase in Dhaka, Bangladesh on February 28, 2017. Activists from the Progressive Students’ Alliance, the student wing of the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) and the Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (BSD) along with components of the Gonotantrik Bam Morcha (a coalition of left-leaning political parties), organized the strike after the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission announced increased gas prices for all consumers.
