WITNESS MY TIME ~ Nowadays it is difficult to visit all photography exhibition due to my professional works and duties. But I try to see the work of my favourite photographers work which is really inspires me from that reason still I visits a gallery and an open space photography exhibition.

“Rise of a Nation”— exhibition titled, I saw this photography exhibition of Indian notable photographer Raghu Rai, he also as a member of the prestigious Magnum Photos. Rai’s has been a notable figure in the documentation of the Liberation War of Bangladesh 1971.

A present exhibition he featuring both released and unreleased photos during his ventured into the war zone in 1971, walking tirelessly alongside freedom fighters and Indian forces on the battlefield. Rai’s remarkable image, which earned him the prestigious Padmashree award in 1971.

In 2012, Rai created the Raghu Rai Center for Photography to share over five decades of his knowledge and experience with the younger generation. As a photographer I want to say, many national and international photographers are inspired from his brilliant work.

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Faculty of Fine Art, University of Dhaka, in collaboration with the Durjoy Bangladesh Foundation (DBF), exhibition curated by artist Zihan Karim. According to Ria’s bio and press release.

The exhibition is going on in Zainul Gallery at the Faculty of Fine Arts in the University of Dhaka, will continue till 19 May 2024.

মায়ের বিজন মুহুর্ত গুলো . . .

মায়ের এই ছবিটি আমাদের সেন্ট মার্টিন ভ্রমণের সময় তুলেছিলাম, ২৭ নভেম্বরের ২০১০ সালে । ছবি: মনিরুল আলম

মায়ের বিজন মুহূর্ত গুলো এখন কোমাতেই কাটে ! আহা— কি ভিষণ সেইসব কষ্ট ! কি ভীষণ সেই সব সময় গুলো পার করছেন, জননী আমার । মাঝে মাঝে যখন গভীর অন্ধকার থেকে চেতনা গুলো ফিরতে শুরু করে তখন মনে হয়, আমাদের ‘মা’ যেন একদম স্বাভাবিক মানুষ । সবার খোঁজ-খবর করেন, পরিবারের ছোট সদস্যটিকে কাছে টেনে নেয়, ফেলে আসা সময়ের স্মৃতিতে ভেসে বেড়ান ! মায়ের চোখে তখন আলোর ঝিলিক দেখা যায় ।

সেদিন বুবলী পোলাও মাংস রান্না করেছিল । ‘মা’ কে বল্লাম তুমি কি পোলাও-মাংস খাবে ? রান্নাটা খুব ভালো হয়েছে, তোমাকে কি দেবো একটু । ‘মা’ খেতে রাজি হলেন, বল্লেন— যা নিয়ে আয় । বড় ভাই— যত্ন করে সেই খাবার খাওয়ালেন। খাবার শেষ করে ‘মা’ বল্লেন —বাবা, আমাকে এশার নামাজটা পড়িয়ে দে । নামাজ শেষে দোয়া করলেন সবার জন্য । তারপর ধীরে ধীরে সেই বিজন অন্ধকারে চলে যেতে লাগলেন !

সময়ের হিসাবে মায়ের অসুস্থতা প্রায় সাড়ে তিন বছর হতে চললো ! স্বজনরা এখনো কেউ কেউ মায়ের খোঁজ খবর করেন । যদিও সময় এবং জীবনের বাস্তবতাটা ভিন্ন কথা বলে ! আমরা পরিবারের সবাই মিলে মায়ের সেবা করে যাচ্ছি। তিন ভাই-বোনের সান্তনা এটাই আমাদের ‘মা’ বেঁচে আছেন—আমাদের সাথে আছেন । আল্লাহ তা’য়ালার কাছে তার পরীক্ষা দিয়ে যাচ্ছেন । নিশ্চই আমাদের রব তার প্রতি রহম করবেন, তার ভূলত্রুটি গুলো ক্ষমা করবেন । মহান আল্লাহ তা’য়ালা নিশ্চই আমাদের ‘মা’ কে নেক হায়াত দান করবেন । আল্লাহ তা’য়ালার কাছে এই দোয়া করি সবাইকে যেন তিনি শান্তিতে রাখেন . . .

Good bye Cox’s bazar, my footsteps to the longest natural sea beach in the world. For me the magnitude of the seashore are always fascinate to seeing its views and spending times on the beautiful seashore.

And finally thanks to all of my friends and administrative personnel with their cooperation. And I had to stop for three nights to the hotel Shaibal, such a lovely place and with their pleasant companion, goodbye for now and hope to see you again . . .
