30 April 2012 Dhaka, Bangladesh- Bangladeshi  police and rapid action battalion RAB jointly arrest unidentified  suspect person at Mogbazar area during a nationwide general strike in Dhaka, Bangladesh. 25 April 2012 Dhaka Bagladesh-  Tree branches comes down on vehicles and city corportation remove it in Here road in the capital. A nor’wester  in tied with heavy rains swept the capital of Dhaka city on Wednesday night. More than 30 trees fall on the road number of vehicles damages. 18 April 2012 Dhaka Bangladesh- BNP Chairperson KHALEDA ZIA speaks at a press conference at Diploma Engineers Institution auditorium in the capital on Wednesday she announced the formation of an 18-party alliance to strengthen the ongoing anti-government movement demanding restoration of the caretaker government system. 415 turtles Seized at Shahjalal Airport in Bangladesh (news)

17 April 2012 Dhaka  Bangladesh-  Customs officials seized 415 turtles from Shahjalal International Airport in the capital early Tuesday in Bangladesh and arrested two Indian nationals in this connection. Tapan Kumar Dey, forest conservator (wildlife section), said the department received information that huge turtles may be smuggled out of the country early Tuesday. Of the turtles, 300 are rare starred tortoises, 90 are three-keeled and 25 are Indian roofed turtles, he added. © Monirul Alam

12 April Dhaka  Bangladesh- Indigenous people float flowers at Jagannath hall ground pond  in Dhaka University during ‘phulbiju’ on the first day of the three-day Boisabi festival.   The  festival marking the Bangla new year aimed great enthusiasm.
