30 April 2012 Dhaka, Bangladesh- Bangladeshi  police and rapid action battalion RAB jointly arrest unidentified  suspect person at Mogbazar area during a nationwide general strike in Dhaka, Bangladesh. 18 April 2012 Dhaka Bangladesh- BNP Chairperson KHALEDA ZIA speaks at a press conference at Diploma Engineers Institution auditorium in the capital on Wednesday she announced the formation of an 18-party alliance to strengthen the ongoing anti-government movement demanding restoration of the caretaker government system. 415 turtles Seized at Shahjalal Airport in Bangladesh (news)

17 April 2012 Dhaka  Bangladesh-  Customs officials seized 415 turtles from Shahjalal International Airport in the capital early Tuesday in Bangladesh and arrested two Indian nationals in this connection. Tapan Kumar Dey, forest conservator (wildlife section), said the department received information that huge turtles may be smuggled out of the country early Tuesday. Of the turtles, 300 are rare starred tortoises, 90 are three-keeled and 25 are Indian roofed turtles, he added. © Monirul Alam
