Paush Shankranti Celebration in Dhaka 

January 14, 2017 – Dhaka, Bangladesh – A woman spits fire on the last day of Bengali month Paush. This traditional festival is locally known as Sankranti. People of the old Dhaka celebrate Shakhrine with colorful kite flying during the day and fire eating and performances after dark.

03 January 2016 Dhaka, BANGLADESH ~ Shopping Market Fire in Bangladesh. I was there to coverage at the capital of Gulshan One area DNCC Market has caught a fire in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on 03 January 2017. Twenty-two fire fighters control the fire; the reason of the fire is not known yet. According to local reports, and witness said more than the fire has affected 600 shops but no casualties have yet been reported, the fire reportedly originated from a transformer blast on the south side of the market earliest on the same day. © Monirul Alam

Bangladeshi child look at on the sky to see firework and enjoys a Paush Shankranti in his roof top. –Old Dhaka people especially in Hindu community enjoys posh Sankranti with different activities as a man blows fire in the evening at old Dhaka Patla Khan Lane on Monday. Paush Shankranti’ is the last day of Bengali month Paush. This traditional festival is locally known as ‘Shakhrine’. Nov 26 2012-Dhaka, Bangladesh- Around 58 unidentified bodies keep on the DMC morgue for DNA test on Monday. At least 111 people were killed and 100 injured in a devastating fire at Tazreen Fashion Ltd at Nischintapur on the capital’s  Ashulia Savar on Saturday.

Fire Drill Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Dhaka (news)

09 May 2012. Dhaka, Bangladesh- The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh on Wednesday organized a fire drill at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on extinguishing fire in aircraft. Several units of the fire service, Civil Aviation Authority, army, air force and a number of hospitals took part in the mock exercise. A bamboo-made replicated aircraft was set on fire for the drill, and eight fire service units, some 15 ambulances and a helicopter took part in the exercise. © Monirul Alam

 Jan. 18, 2012 – Dhaka, Bangladesh – A security guard sprays a protestor with a fire extinguisher, as angry investors put barricades on the road in front of the Dhaka Stock Exchange. Bangladesh’s stock exchange operator suspended trading yesterday after reports said the government would enforce a ban on civil servants and the armed forces from investing in shares. Dhaka.Bangladesh-People search for belongings after a devastating fire at a slum at Mohammadpur Rayer Bazar in Dhaka, A devastating fire gutted around 400 shanties of a slum in the capital’s Rayer Bazar area Thursday afternoon. The blaze completely damaged two under-construction buildings adjacent to the tin-shed slum in Battala  Rayer Bazar .
