Amena Khatun a garment worker was standing in a long queue at a Gaowair Adorsho School at Uttra polling centre. She said she expects this election would bring some positive change among the leaders that’s why she was keen to cast her vote. I visited some of polling center of Dhaka and discus with voters about the election at the same time I took picture different polling center. I observed huge number of female voters standing four to five hours on the polling center but they are not boring. They are happy to cast their voting rights. More than half nation’s voters are female. At the same time I see a first time voters who are very happy on Election Day. Dhaka University students Arif Hossain standing Rajuk at school and collage polling center, He said that the country is going back to democracy after a long time and elect a good government which will work against corruption and bad things. The fist time voters representing almost one-fourth of around 81 millions.
The Nine National Parliamentary election was held free, fare and peacefully on 29 Dec/08.
